Standing water does not automatically mean the entire roof needs to be replaced. The important question is why the water is staying there.

On a low-slope roof, we would rather identify why water is collecting in one area than simply apply another layer of material over the surface.

Unlike an asphalt shingle roof, many low-slope roofs rely on a continuous membrane as their primary weather-resistant surface.
A cut or puncture can therefore create a direct weakness in that membrane.

More Roof Cement Is Not Always the Answer
